WTH!!! I think that if there is any 'TRUCK DRIVER' that can't deal with 'BACKING' then this is obviously not the JOB for them..
Logan76 Thanks this. -
So why is 5 years the magic number? You will probably feel comfortable in a lot less time than that. I was nervous about backing when I first started, but after my first year I was chomping at the challenge of tougher situations and fine tuning those impossible load racks at a few locations. You will get it, but don't shy away from the challenge....attack it. Good luck, and look at chemical tankers...there are companies out there that will train noobs....you just have to dig. and no, I am not talking about Prime or Schneider....I would steer clear of those scenarios.

If you want good pay and easy, get a dedicated route pulling doubles. Now I start my route on today so i have no experience on how easy it is YET. My route has doubles all hooked up for me though. (no fiddling, just hook up, pretrip and go, dolly already in) I then drive 260 miles, drop and hook, no backing. Then drive 260 miles back, drop and bobtail to truckstop. only backing is bobtail. 100% no touch.
