If you get them both at the same time you can save some money.

I used to use it quite a bit for Dundalk but I haven't been there in over a year. It has made me money though. I had a broker tell me if I didn't have a TWIC he would add a couple hundred to the rate for an escort....well of course I said I didn't have one.

This will require 2 trips to KC, one for the fingerprinting and app and then when they issue the card you must pick it up in person. Kansas City was the nearest location for me and I live in Denver. You could also do it in Oakland or Los Angeles if they work better. The KC office does not have truck parking either, so you must bobtail or rent a car, I did the rent a car route. Hope this helps. The TWIC is just another tool, always better to have more tools than less in most cases.

It was a little over a 100 bucks with the hazmat I also tied my TWIC into my hazmat so they expire at the same time.

I work for the same company you do and I don't have my TWIC but the office called me about some info they needed so that I could get it but that was months ago and I haven't heard anything since. I know our reefer drivers use theirs all the time but I am yet to need it on the flatbed side
