Ouch...I'm interested in the story behind this one.

Looks like a Swift truck making a left turn at the scene of an accident.
RightCoast Thanks this. -
Yea what's the deal with this scene?

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (KABC) -- A sheriff's deputy was injured when his patrol car collided with a big rig in Rancho Cucamonga Friday night.
The crash happened near 4th Street and Hermosa Avenue around 8 p.m.
Investigators say Rancho Cucamonga deputies were responding to a report of an armed robbery in the 9000 block of Hermosa Avenue when the crash occurred.
Jodi Miller with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says the deputy was traveling in the No. 2 lane on Hermosa Avenue when a semi truck pulled in front of him to make a right-hand turn into a driveway. Miller says that's when the deputy's patrol car collided with the truck.
The deputy was hospitalized in serious condition, but authorities say he did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the big rig was not injured. He was questioned by authorities but not placed under arrest.
Investigators are still looking into the crash. -
Though it doesn't specify Swift and it does appear the truck is making a left. So it very well could have been another truck and this one just happened to be in the clip.
EDIT: I watched the video. It was a Swift truck but the spokesperson says the deputy was passing on the right side of the truck and the truck turned right in front of him to pull in a driveway.
I don't know why people feel the need to post a picture of everything they see a Swift truck involved in though. There are plenty of other bad things happening with trucks that aren't Swift. Petty, if you ask me.Raiderfanatic Thanks this. -

I would assume if they had something they would have charged him already. I would guess he was making a wide right into a driveway and the deputy was flying low with out emergency lights on. Purely my speculation though. Who knows. Hopefully the deputy will be okay and hopefully the driver gets a fair shake. If he deserves charges, fine. If not, great. I would wager there is a little fault to be had on both ends.

Thanks for the story behind it fight coast. Just pulled into wal mart DC. He was just swining wide but didn't use his mirror I guess.
RightCoast Thanks this. -
And yes, I've seen a Swift truck wipe out a mirror of another truck parked next to it at the Kingman, AZ T/A a few years ago.
And yes, I've meet a Swift driver at the Breaux Bridge, LA Pilot that had no idea where he was. He did not even know what direction Houston, TX was from that truck stop. And yes, I was a smart aleck! I told him to get on I-10 east and drive till it ends. Turn around and drive west till he runs into Houston. He had a very confused look on his face.
Oh, And yes! I'm far from perfect myself! But I do use common sense and don't do blatantly stupid stuff!
Joetro and bigdogpile Thank this.
