Anybody know what the HP & TQ Ratings for this Super 10 Trans are RTLO14610B

i had a super ten behind a c15 for many years never hurt it switched it out for a 13 no real diff on the top gear c15was around 750 hp so super ten is a fine trans

 

well then what is the point of swaping a 10 speed for a 13 that would be way too fast...you would have to use 11th all the time because most 10 speeds come with a 2.73 rear where as a 13 or 18 will have 3.35... I guess being an old time truck driver means simple math doesn't matter...now theres a waste of money

I have a super 10. it was in truck when I bought it. drove 1.1 mil miles with original clutch. drove 1.5 mil before back box needed reworked. a couple of my neighbors have a 500 red top cummins & one with a 550 cat both with super 10 & they do fine.

 

I loved the super 10, just like i love my 5+2. Very dependable unless you put multiple steering wheel holders behind it. i like splitting gears rather than shifting them. oo bad they cant handle what a standard 10 can

 

Direct is direct! 95% of modern overdrives are 0.73 overdrive top gear!! Super 10's are decent transmissions,but like most folks on here! I wouldn't take a straight ten out and replace it with a super 10!! On a good note they run fairly cool & they will almost give you a good used one!!

Not getting into it, as years go by, it's easier to figure out when it isn't worth it anymore. Hows that BHW?? Make ye proud?
OP, I would go with a 13 over another 10. On flat ground most motors will pull the overdrive gears just fine, and lower the rpm's a little for better MPG.

What side of the trans should the plate be on a 10spd? Near the middle?
