Swift, Stevens or Knight to start out with?

PackRat they are still the same, Ive been gone for a year now but still talk to guys from orientation and they are getting all the miles they can handle. Steven's is even advertising off the yard in 24 hour's as long as you clear safety lane. My buddy told me they have more freight then they can handle.

 

I did my Orientation with Knight In columbus and it went pretty well we did smith system training, went through some power points etc. We spent a lot of time just sitting around though and that was fine. The hotel I stayed in was nice as well Single bed rooms. I well say this the team at the columbus terminal is pretty great, They have Dry van side and Reefer side there and the 2 Terminal Managers are really good guys as are the recruiters etc. The Dispatchers, Recruiters, and Terminal managers all sit together in there little desks etc. and they all communicate.

I had an incident with a trainer I didnt get along with and was having problems with and saw our route went through columbus the following day and I texted the Terminal manager at 2am asking to get me off this truck immidietely and they worked it out and got me out of there and on with a new one.

Knight Refrigerated/Transportation Columbus, Ohio I would give a 10/10.

 

Clearing the Safety lane is the trick... I did last week, but I am in a brand new truck, I put 4000 miles on it and had to go back to the yard to park it so I could fly home. I also had just done my 90 days a week and a half prior so I had one thing to clear.

That 24hrs... chalk it up to recruiter speak.

But yes... there are miles to be had.

 

You need to have a cdl before you can get on with Schneider.
