anyone Help!!!

I own a 08 Prostar, and I am having problems with my electrical system. I've lost my cruise control, jake brake and my suspention dump valve. I have the truck at the local IHC shop. They have had it since Friday after Thanksgiving, and can't find the problem. Anyone had this same issue with their truck? If so what was the problem? Thanks in advance. Ed

 

It is the International dealer, sorry, should have been more clear. IHC is old school for International, shows how long I've been around.

 

At first it was cruise and Jake. Drove from my house, loaded and went back to the yard to drop my trailer, and dump wouldn't work. Hate to pull out from under a loaded trailer without dumping the air from the bags, I like to have the weight on the landing gear before I pull out. But had to get to dealer for a appointment for service. Tech at the shop has checked wiring from switches. He say's ecm is signal from switches, but nothing is working still.

 

Hey everyone, what does everyone think of this! I just got a call from the shop, they say that the body controller is bad, want to change it (1200.00 part), and they found a connection in the fuse box that powers the body controller that was loose, and that caused the controller to fry. Are they feeding me a line of sh**?

 

Ok, the shop just called again, by placing the body controller, they got the Jake, and dump valve to work. The cruise switch is sending out the signal, so it should work too. Service manager is going to test drive it after the dash is put back together again. Golly, sure hope it works! Don't want to take out a morgage on my house to pay for this! Been under a load since last Wednesday, 11/27, customer is getting ticked!

 

Hey HeavyD, you where right on, They replaced the body controller, reprogrammed the new 1 to my chassis(if it needed to be), and jake and dump valve started working. They'll test drive to make sure the cruise is working properly. Thanks again. Ed
