PRIME Drivers... What's your 20? (2)

Sitting in Pittston, getting new drives, and getting my qc looked at, wasn't the fuse, so it sounds like a short, I told sprimo 3 weeks ago I probably needed new tires and they took a look and said they're fine, the tire shop foreman at Pittston looked at it in the yard (with out me asking which is why prime is awesome) and agreed my tires should have been replaced a looooong time ago

 

Shutdown in Laramie till this crap blows over 90 app is Saturday but gonna drop in SLC if it ever quits this snowing ice

 

Its not bad until they shutdown the road.

I drove 80 today. Figured I'd only get as far as Little America with chain restricted from Lyman to Utah state line.

i was stopped just long enough for lunch. Restrictions started to lift around noon. Took it nice a slow over the three sisters and back to full speed by the time I hit Evanston.

Overall some snow covered stretches, but visibility was good. Utah roads were cleaned up so good it made WY look like their DOT don't do anything.

 

BTW, the forecast calls for single digits over the next couple days. I figured I had to go now while it was 20-30 deg, before the snow that's already on the road got deep freezed to ice where salt and plows just scraping it won't help much.

Up and running again, not happy the shop broke the knobs on my cb, but they have me a new one

 

Sitting in Yakima WA Next stop Houston Tx. Just enough time for the last storm to pass then get out before the Friday one hits ore/Wash area.

 

Made my two deliveries in Corrinne and West Jordan with a bonus delivery of a overage claim to another buyer in SLC.

already had a preplan, clock ticking, I washed out at the blue beacon rather than stopping in the terminal. Split breaked while waiting for loading last night in Twin Falls.

patchy roads on 80 in WY. Some really long stretches of snow/ice covered roads.

Watched a Prime truck blow by me on the three sisters, only to see them backing up on the break down Lane of I80 cause they either missed the TA exit or slid on the ice right past it. Either way they looked really stupid doing it.

Truck gauge showed -24 as I rolled thru a sunny Evenston this morning.

Larmie for an 8. Gonna keep split breaking and get a whole day in KC before delivery. No chance of getting the appt moved up.
