GPS nearly leads trucker over a cliff and into Utah canyon
A truck driver nearly took a spill down the banks of a canyon outside the Greater Salt Lake area, after his GPS led him into a series of switchbacks. Police and county workers had to use a front-end loader to lift the trailer in order for the truck to negotiate the curves.

i'd like to know what brand he had. so we all make sure not to buy it. i don't even think a car gps will take you up that road. there's nothing on that road to even be on.

What is the best brand for GPS tracking?

It happens all the time with routing with all models. US30 use to run across a field in OH so I can see the mapping error.
It's just a case of plain stupidity/laziness and relying solely on a GPS. Just because someone uses a GPS doesn't relieve them of their other trip planning methods (calling customer/map reading/Google Earth). Had he done his all tools available homework it wouldn't of happened.
One can hit them self in the head with a hammer. If you don't know how to use one properly it can be a dangerous tool too. -
More like the increasing stupidity of the idiots coming out of the prime, swift, and cr England driving schools.

And Google wants to put driver-less cars on the road? Good grief..
