Ok, This was your 1st post on this subject. 18 hrs ago. That would have been around 8-9pm last night.

Then there was this post 17 hrs ago Would have been around 9-10pm last night.

Then there was this post from an hour ago.

Somethings not adding up. How did you get your info to write the judge when the Clerks office and the courts are closed at that time?

No one I know of would tell you or say something to the effect of "Write the judge" They would tell you to get in touch with District Attorney or the Assistant DA and or the Clerk of Court.

The 3500.00 fee for an attorney isn't accurate either. Call me skeptical but what I'm seeing are inconsistencies in your story.

If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to apologize, but for now, I'd like to hear your side to the above.

I'll also do you a favor and tell you right now, if this charge was back from 1996 and you get a court date and show up and maintain your claim "It wasn't me" if the charging officer doesn't show up, no longer works for the agency that charged you, either the DA or the judge will dismiss the charge. You've got that going in your favor.

In the event, the charging officer does show up, there's a good chance he may not or can't remember if it was you or not. If that happens, same outcome.

Just a tip. They're called State Attorneys and Assistant State Attorneys down here. DA's are a northern thing

This would be a great outcome, the only thing the charging officer could say is it isn't him, being I've never and I do mean EVER stepped foot in Florida.

I'm trying if at all l possible not to have to take a trip down there, but if I have to, to clear this mess up I will. I don't really have the money to burn to go down there, but this is important.
