Sitting in the cold here at my companies term near Denver. Tomorrow I get to go were you Trasns Am drivers cant go. Into the mountains past Denver. This will be my first time up there.

 

Nah, it's cool Joey! I like being able to put faces to names. You just caught me BSing on the phone with one of my buddies who drove for TransAm until recently. Im still sitting in a truck freezing while waiting for my truck to be ready. Now the bunk heater doesnt work in the recovery truck. Mine will be ready soon. New steer tire is on and she is charged, they are trying to diagnose WHY she wouldnt take the charge. Possibly a bad connection. Just more money! And I have PMs comin up again soon too. Joy. Did you get dinner? They set it all up i the mechanics' lounge.

Oh I know why he left. He just wasnt getting the miles and was tired of TransAm's games in general. He bought a truck and signed on with Landstar.

 

Well not going anytime soon. Conditions are too bad in vail pass to drive. Werner wants me to wait till they lift the manditory chain in that area.

 

I get to run over 80 in the morning
stopped in Cheyenne where it is a balmy -1
was going to go as far as Laramie but that was -20

so i got a question for you guys i live in Omaha NE graduate class on the 6th of Feb, was thanking of going to stevens transports until i was introduced to Transam kinda looks like the same operation but much closer to were i live... was wondering how much dose transam pay per mile and what do they offer over stevens transport? pretty much all i know is they have automatics in the trucks instead of manuals which is a shame but not enough to run me off???

Sometimes waiting is the best kind of movement. This winter storm Cleatus - or whatever name they've given it - is such a time. I've told my Lawton OK daughters to stay inside with the heat on...and wait.
