Return to ACT (American Central Transport)

I drop in Houston Tx tomorrow, reload and head back to Topeka..

Then I'm off for 3 days.. Plan on doin a lil deer hunting and some fishing.

 

Climbed back into truck on Tuesday...I received a choice of three loads. .
1 going to Texas., another to Saginaw Michigan, and one to Florence Soutth Carolina..

I'm headed to SC.. over 1, 000 miles and delivers Thursday.

No I didn't kill a deer. . But I killed a lot of beers!

I had 1, 675 loaded miles and 250 empty miles last week..

I took 3 days off. .I grossed $2, 698.36..-expenses/advances $2, 164.18 =$534.18

This coming week is the time I hate. . Thanksgiving shortens the pay period before and after the holiday. .
I only have 1, 700 miles this week because payroll shuts off Sunday night instead of Monday night. .
Oh well, all my bills are paid and still have money in the bank. . I'm not complaining

I'm emptying in Gahanna OH.. dead heading to Wabash IN for delivery in KC Monday morning. .

I may get to watch a little football and have dinner with the family. . Be safe

 

Well Wabash blows..

My preplan says load at 2000.. my dispatch says 1500 next day. .. so I need something to eat. . Walk across the street Dyes bar and grill. .

For something to eat and drank a few beers. . Yes I flirted with the waitress (hot little blonde) and WHAM! I get sucker punch to the right of the head. ..

I'm 6'0 tall and 200lbs... and I woke up 5 feet from Where I was standing being punched in the chest. .. As I was coming to. .I remember thinking that I was being stabbed in the chest. .

I don't know who they were but several people were dragging this person out of the front door. . All I could do was stand in front of him with my arms out laughing. .

Anyway, 28 hour layover at paperworks in Wabash IN.. can't wait to go back. .I miss that good lookin blonde!

 

Ok. . So I ran 1, 600 miles last week. . After all is said and done. . Brought home 478 $.. short week. But I already have 2000 miles this week. . Tomorrow is thanksgiving and I'm preplanned in a600 mile load that delivers Monday. . And another that goes to Rockport il. .

There wasn't any product ready. . By the time I was loaded there were 4 more ACT trucks waiting in line..

They were loading it as soon as it came off the line. .Last ACT driver in line was told it would be 22 hours before he would bump the dock. .

I'm loaded and heading to Lexington TN.. I'm stopping by the house to see my grandson.. (He likes to sit in the truck and pretend that he's driving)..

I deliver Monday and have a preplan to Rockford IL.

Be safe and watch the 4 wheelers.. Seems they have a death wish around the holidays.

 

Well I just checked my settlement for this week. .I messed up. .

I delivered In Lexington TN and beat feet down to adamsville. . When I got there, I started talking to another ACT driver. We were both delivering to same place. .650 miles away and scheduled for the next day, but we knew it was a drop/hook and decided to deliver early and get the trip in before midnight. . Thus it would be in this week's payroll. .

He left while I was loading. .I decided to fill up in Missouri.. $500.00.. And the trip only paid about $800.00..I decided to wait and deliver the next day (I didn't need the extra 300$ on this check)

I FORGOT to scan the trip I delivered that morning! UGH! If I had scanned that trip, my paid miles would have been 2, 100 giving me a net of 1, 300$ ...

As it is. .I netted 700 $ for 1, 500 miles. . Oh Well. . Just a bigger check next week. .
