see you tommorow fly, I will be leaving this afternoon and spending the night in marshfield, I am in SW WI, so I have a bit of a drive

I was in the same situation, never used a clutch. The first day takes a little concentration and coordination, but after that it becomes second nature. I was told people who have never used a standard transmission before have an easier time picking up the double clutching, so tell her not to worry. Best of luck.

What you said is true. When i was in school we had two guys that never used a clutch before and they had no problems once they got use to double clutching. The instructor said people who never used a clutch before are easier to teach double clutching to as well.

Carrie is my recruiter as well. I tried to send you a PM, but I need osme more posts in order to do that. How long did it take from initial contact with Carrie to get you scheduled for training?
-
Please don't tell me you are from Milwaukee and are a Bears and White Sox fan. Do you drink Budweiser as well?
-
LOL...well, I live in Milwaukee. I am from Chicago. My beer preference is Miller. Budweiser is donkey piss.

I contacted her while I was still in the Middle East, so I had to wait until I was back in the States to finish up. But my application was complete and accepted in about a week; once I gave her a firm date on my separation, I could have started training within two weeks. She is really great about keeping you updated and getting you processed in. Just make sure you have a clear schedule when Allied Health calls to schedule your physical. Get your permit as soon as possible too.

Thanks a ton. So...how's it going? -
Going well. I am finally in my last week here. Tomorrow is the practice CDL skills test and I should be on my way home by noon on Friday. The range is turning to mud with all the snow melting, so make sure you have clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Just come into this with (and keep) a positive attitude and its really a good time.
