I checked the cat scales locator website, not much near Boston/Cambridge MA. Any suggestions?

There is a new CAT scale in Bow, NH at the Mr. Mikes/Pilot fuel stop. It appears to have a lot of room to park and get your ticket. Located next door to the Peterbilt dealer on route 3a. The only other one I know of close to the Boston area would be the T/A in Greenland, NH; which is currently lousy with construction.

MA does not believe in truck stops. If you look around you'll even seen weird looking things hanging from the gas stations. Something about that state will not allow trucks stops.

Or if you're heading to New Yawk state, the Ambest T/S in Chicopea MA off of I90... plenty of parking and a good diner.

We're local to Cambridge, MA.We've been using transfer stations lately but the nails-in-tires hazard is a real pain in the butt. Driving to Leominster when you're only going to Nashua is also a pain in the but. but hey, news flash: if it wasn't a pain we wouldn't get paid for it right?

There is the Plainville truckstop a couple miles off the interstate on US 1 that has scales. It's down near the southern end where I-495 and I-95 meet.

    116 Washington Street
    Plainville, MA 02762

Exit 14B off of I-495. It's the N. Attleboro exit. It's a cloverleaf/2nd ramp US 1 south. Then a couple miles on your right. They have Citgo signs out.

There's another truck stop but I can't remember the name of it. It's been years ago. I usually used my pressure gauge or hit Sturbidge.

    How much on the bills?

If you time it right you can get all the way to NJ/PA line or NY without hitting any open scales.
