I took 10 years off let my cdl go then one day decided I wanted to drive again Went online took practice test went to DMV took doubles tankers air breaks combos general and smoked them. Paid a driving school 300 dollars to give me a practical driving test past first shot So point being as long as you had confidence then you will have it again I drove 5 years before I got out for ten years. You should be fine. Don't overthink it just get in there pay attention think and knock it out. Remember it's not a toy so respect it also. Focus focus focus.

It's like riding a bike. I took 3 years off b4 I hopped back in the saddle. It'll come back to you. No worries. Just be patient, take your time, and don't rush anything.

Got a couple different cars?? Roll window up with a crank on one and push a button on the other?? One's a stick and the other's automatic? How long's it take to make that adjustment??

It's about like that but with a tweak. If you're in a habit of taking right foot from brake to accelerator, hafta remember to let the clutch out so you don't roll backwards.

After a year and a half driving only passenger car/pickup automatics, I had developed one habit (brake to accelerator) and 'forgotten' another (let clutch engage). All habits are not the same. Some matter.
