    if your from south florida and you apply to an otr job, but in the app tell them "i do not want hometime in south florida, i will take my hometime anywhere" will they hire you?

    The only folks in S. Florida that hire are Werner, Armellini, and CRST. Conway might also hire from down there.

    That not true JB has a contact with family dollar in marianna fl i live in chipley fl and work for them from 2004 to 2007

    thats not what the post said I have lived in miami and homestead as well and chipley and Marianna are still part of florida

    Problem with Florida it is a consumer state so you can get freight in but with this also being a retirement state nothing is being manufactured to come out. Also low cost of freight keeps companies away so a lot of the freight coming is being pulled for fuel because drivers live here and the same going out. They will get a good load in and out of Atl and cover fuel to go home thus keeping the rates low plus competition with the ports also keeps the freight low

    You must have never done any research. I can tell you dozens of companies, local, regional, for O/O, anything. How far are you from Lakeland?
