in that case let me inform you a lil bit okay. Mr. Bronc was just talking about pulling a load that would pay $1.10 a mile to the truck. I hauled for that same rate in 1994 when diesel fuel was $.82 gallon. Now it's at $4.00 a gallon. Back then I would not run for less than $1 mile. I doubt I need to get into the equipment cost increses in that same time not to mention insurance and shop rates. That nuber alone is frightening enough

I know there fuel mileage isn't better. May be worse. But they also only work a few hours a day which is what I'm getting at. I wonder how many UK driver have ever seen 4000 us miles in a week so there obviously not going to have th fuel expense we do

If OOIDA was REALLY for the driver like they claim they would be leading the charge in changing the industry. But really they are a big group of lawyers looking for their next easy score thru a lawsuit.
Take their suit against Landstar for example......... didn't do a bit of good other than cost a lot of court time and wasted money as the case was eventually thrown out because they didn't have a leg to stand on. -
There is drivers from the UK on this bard. It's be faster to just pm them -
like i say i dont know what sort of milage they do a week but most are international so they go all over europe not just the uk as its only a 90 min ferry crossing to france
