I mentioned my driving history to my recruiter but will leave off the irreverent medical history. Thank you for your responses.

It is on his record yes
but the safety person running his background & driving record will not hold a ticket 5 years old
    against him

now if it's a DUI that is more than likely look upon
If he had more than 1 in a lifetime or one within 10yrs

what your suggesting is that he add everything since day 1 of driving
for a 30+yrs plus man who been driving since 15 those tickets are irrelevant
    when he gets to orientation
he will fill out the same app again
& it clearly states " list all convictions in the past 3 years"

so that's all he needs to list
    or just write on app
NO TICKETS IN PAST 3 YEARS
& move on to the next question

Furthermore I'm not suggesting he hide anything
    very simple

if the question is 2+2 answer with 4

    you don't need to add
    5x5=25
and when I first started driving I was a speeder
amd drove thru a red light 7 years ago
just follow the question & directions on app
    you will be fine

And tell the recruiter about the rest of it so there are no awkward questions. Infamous... thanks for your help, but we've been telling this to folks for a long time simply so the interview goes quickly and without fuss. There have been folks who have come back and told us they wish they had followed that advice.

If the recruiters have the annotation in their file up front, they have want they want most in an applicant... complete honesty. How about you get with the program and help us out here, instead of arguing all the time?

If you have a juvenile arrest record that was expunged when you turned 18, tell them. If you once swallowed your allowance and had to wait a day and a half to get it back, tell em.

Amusing note about this. I had everything down.... so I thought. Then at interview gentleman asked me " What about this 'dogs at large' citation:" ? Still needed to fill incident sheet out. Go figure... but I assure you they are incredibly thorough.

Yes, put everything down. They can probably tell you what you ate for breakfast 30yrs.ago from what I have seen. I had some issues in younger days, like many others, including an expungement case. All detailed before & in interview. All went well. Hide something or lie, will not go the same. Seen that happen as well. Honesty is key.

Total time from submitting application online to the "can you be here next week" call was about 3 hours for me.

Howdy, My wife and I are "done" raising our kids, and have a few years to do something together. We have talked about team trucking several times over the last 22 years but the time wasn't right. Now it is...or may be. I have read from first page this entire thread as well as several others over last few days and really like what I see here. I intend to speak with a recruiter tomorrow. Have couple questions though. My wife wants to know more about the trucks and what her "space" will look like. What are the most common trucks issued to married team drivers? Are there many married teams running for Prime? If so how can I speak with a few of them?

BTW, I have enjoyed this thread and the folks spending their time helping others here!

    Grant.
