I know several that have leased through Lone Mountain and have been happy with the deal and the truck. I've done a little research and the only downside I could find was inventory is limited and consists of fleet lease turnbacks. However; they go through the trucks, from what I understand, and you will roll out of there with some sort of warranty. Keep in mind, this info isn't from personal experience and you'll have to do your own research.

that wasn't lone mountain, they don't have a Houston location, they don't give owner op classes, and they request you take the truck to shop of your choice to get an inspection and also ask that you get a dyno done on the truck.

so your info is quite a bit off, sounds more like the jokers in Gulfport,ms

I looked at Lone Mountain and I didn't like their warranty policy ... If I found anything that needed fixing I had to take to the location I got it at, to get fixed, not to just any of their locations. And if I went DIW in the middle of nowhere, to get it fixed would be on my dime or tow it to where I got it.

I took a pass ... if you catch a cherry truck, financially they make sense ... catch a lemon and there is a high probability you're screwed.

They use a national aftermarket warranty company NTP with 3,000 plus warranty service centers. LM doesn't provide a warranty. I think you have the scumbags in MS confused with them as well

yep, like forty calglock said , you are confused.

the deal where they repair stuff at their shop is after the intial inspection and dyno. you would be near their shop where they would repair. that doesn't apply at all to the ntp warranty that comes with their trucks.

and those repairs would be done at that time not weeks later.

and after that intitial inspection, it would either be on your own dime or under the ntp warranty, if ya cant stomach a truck breaking down, you aint got no business owning one.

some people like tight roping on razorblades and some don't.

i wonder how many bother to get their own inspection or dyno on any used truck no matter who they buy it from, i bet less than 10 per cent cause they don't want to spend money or more they likely they have a down payment and nothing else to spend.

lone mountain is no different than anywhere else, a used truck is a used truck.

either you are confused and didn't pay attention to what you were told

Well then it would be LM that is confused ... my direct conversation with them. I was looking at a truck in their Omaha location - yeah I know it's not actually Omaha.

Started my questions vis-à-vis where to go if the truck had issues ... it has to come back to Omaha ... can I take it to LM in Vegas ... no it has to come back to Omaha.

I more or less got the impression from them that they prefer customers that aren't going to dig to hard on a truck, Yeah they let you inspect it, do a oil analysis - useless since it should have a fresh oil change and take it to a dyno.

As soon as I started with doing a charge air check, pressurizing the cooling system, opening and inspecting the DPF system, flow testing the DPF filter, testing the batteries, check the exhaust system, doing a vin check with dealer ... etc ... I got, all our trucks have passed a DOT, you want a truck come pick one out and sign the papers ...

Frankly I had a better experience dealing with Arrow ... just couldn't come to financial terms with them.

I opted instead to purchase - not a lease a purchase - a truck from my carrier ... 30 day bumper to bumper ... took it to the shop of my choice, that performed all the work, had a break down at 27 days, took the truck to a shop of my convenience ... carrier covered all the cost to the tune of $10K ... I've since put 8K into the truck, fixing various things and to get it running, where I now average 8mpg on all loads, across all terrain. And yeah on a used truck things break.

Just exactly what were you gonna do?? Purchase a truck from there Omaha location and get it looked over in Las Vegas?? When picking up the truck all you had to do was look it over, get it looked over at Council Bluffs Freightliner, and if anything is found have it corrected at Omaha/

So much WRONG information its pitiful.................

That just means they've paid their fee. BBB doesn't mean a whole lot.
