the old man from the mountain adventure to wtof begins today

Good morning guys and gals sorry it has taken me so long to update but been working 12hr day's and Ihad some major problems with water lines that freeze we had.I am in training but I tell you I really enjoy my job and my trainer's have been great. This is one of the easiest jobs ever had in my life and the most money I ever been paid to do almost nothing but drive. This oil boom is really picking up here. Their are new yards going in all the time. OK I'm not starin at this little screen any more. But things are going great and I'm thankful
My wife is not taking it to good but hopefully I can get home for Christmas and that will help that problem. Oh yeah I fond out from DMV that in Texas now you only have 25 days to switch over your licence.

 

Hey everyone just wanted to give you a update on how things are going. Training is over now I begin the hard part and that is night shift. I don't know if I can do it or not but only one way to find out. there is one thing for sure if I can't there is plenty of other companies hiring and surely some of them have day shift jobs. I seen 7drivers wanted signs f Thursday going to Barnhart on highway 67and yards going in everywhere.the demand is sure driving the pay up some. I am hearing that a couple companies here in San Angelo are paying $ 20 and above for sand haulers.the most I had heard of sence I been here was 19 a hr and that's only if you work nights. I will take this time to wish each and everyone a merry Christmas and hope it's a safe one as well.

 

Hello everyone, just wanted to update you for a finale time. my oil field adventure has ended and I am headed back home. I have some personal problems that cannot be handled away from home my wife says I'm done no more jobs away from home at least not 12 or 13 hundred miles away. just one of those things you never think about happening how ever if the company would have worked with me I could have made it work but that didn't happen. I was schedule to be off 7 out of 9 days and the company wouldn't work with me on them 2 days so couldn't go home for Christmas and that put the wife over the edge. that's all I'm going to say except to thank everone for there help before and during my adventure.

 

that's correct I had 3 days off dec 20-21-22 was schedule to work dec 23 then off dec 24-25 work dec26 off 27-28 return on sunday 29 all off time was with out pay because of my 90 day probation period. but I was told that dispatch could have traded them 2 days if they wanted to.
