    Yes it is, but what is even MORE sad is people will turn this into fodder for the anti-gun hysteria and ignore the fact that it appears that the child's father was banned from owning a gun anyway (ya, like criminals obey the law).
    Even if that WEREN'T true, there just about would have to be criminal negligence in the storing of the gun in the home accessible to the toddler.
    But people just don't understand that these types of happenings are extremely rare where the gun is legal, registered and owned by responsible gun owner.

    How in **** did a 22 month old get ahold of a loaded gun????? I have had guns around all my life, and around my kids... the little ones could never have gotten hold of it. I guess people forget the meaning of "responsibility"??

    yeah that is sad, I just can't believe that the baby shot itself, and with the father having felony charges too, doesn't add up to me.
