Hell lets just get on the CB's tomorrow and any driver you see tell them to just pull over and do the same. Have the whole freeway lined with truckers on the sides just sitting for atleast 2 hours. That will hit the news tomorrow by noon.

I'm looking into it. But the end-dump hasn't sold yet. I was thinking about getting an inverter plus two deep cycle batteries and going that route until I can afford the APU.
I'm trying to get set up as comfortable as possible but there's little thing that gets in the way called CASH or the lack of it.

Yeah , just like in France few years ago...
That strike really shaked the whole Europe... -
I don't think you'd get far but you never know. Go ahead and try. I know one thing, if you are driving down the road talking about it than nobody will listen. I'd stop on an overpass and stand on the steps with the mic and talk to people where they can see ya. It would only take a few trucks joining up with you to make some news. ANd a little news is what we need. Like someone else said. Once people see someone else doing it they will fallow

Hey MM, off the subject but I just relized, after this storm in Ohio, my truck was wedged up against the garage, and to add to the gutter and shingle repair, my driver side stack is dented and scratched. Anyone know where I can get a decent priced 2000 379 stack at?
-
If it's just a standard top stack on top of the muffler there is a guy on ebay who sells them cheap. Otherwise go to freightliner to get one... Serious, not the pete dealer, they will be twice as much.
I ALMOST had a 12 foot tree limb land on my truck last week. It landed on the carport I was parked next to and broke the pipes in half on it. -
Truck Drivers Consider Fuel Surcharge or Strike
3/1/08
Quote:
SYLVANIA, GA (WTOC) - High gas prices are hitting all of us hard, but what if you had to pay $700 or more to fill up at the pump? It's a reality many truck drivers are facing. Tonight, dozens of truckers met in Sylvania to talk about adding a fuel surcharge. They said unless they start charging more for deliveries, they can't afford to stay in business.
Why should you care? Any additional charges will likely be passed on to you when you buy food, clothing and other items. Still, truckers say it's higher costs or they may have no choice but to strike.
"If it keeps going like it is, we're either going to have to park them or someone's just going to have to step up to control these fuel prices," said truck driver Bonnie Lee Robinson, Sr.
Truck drivers say roughly half of their gross pay is going to fill up their trucks. WTOC will keep following this story to bring you the latest.
