because the very nature of the job makes us independant types and that usually doesn't get along well with union type environments

OK I just have to throw this out there and maybe I am over simplifying this but if the government gets 14% in taxes doesn't that mean the higher the price the more their piece of the pie is and if that is the case then why would they want to do anything about the price of fuel.It is not in their best interest and I don't see them taking any action until it affects their phony baloney jobs.

As far as price of fuel affecting company drivers I can tell you that maverick gave no bonus to their drivers this year and they have installed an mpg program in most of their trucks that ties your speed to your mpg that is why maverick trucks are some of the slowest moving things on the road.

I remember the fuel crisis of the 70s I wasn't driving a big truck back then but we are headed for the same thing all over again.Maybe if we looked at the past we could figure out what to do or at least what we are headed for.

    everyone,

sitting on the side of the road or at home is not going to garner attention. not the kind of attention that needs to be gotten.

it has to be in plain view, and the reasons have to be known. dont go off half ####ed. do it right or not at all.

this is something that has to be advertised and meda attention has to focus on it. also this will be something that has to be dne by example. no one will follow if no one is doing.

think about it, park them in fuel islands if you want. but unless there is strength in numbers nothing will happen. capitol buildings and busy interstate junctions.

i see many that are pissed off enough to do this, but then someone else jumps in half ####ed and just wants to park along the highway. that wont do it. if you park then you have to banner them, and make the case known. otherwise no one, be it trucker or 4 wheeler will know whats going on.

organizaion organization. it has to be organized. if i am driving down the road tomorrow, or next week, be it texas, california or any part of the country, if i see trucks parked and bannered, i will stop and join, but if they are not advertised and i knw whats happening, how is one to know.

no way am i going to park it on side of highway just cause some crazy driver pulls over to side of pavement and hollers at me on the cb.

if you all want a movement then it has to be organized. noone in their right mind will join a movement thats not organized.

same as i said before, this has to be at a state building or at the whitehouse itself. to garner the support it will take.

yeah rack and sack the truckstops like a good ole wyoming winter whiteout with I-80 road closures for a few days, sure thing, bust open them reefers and dryvans and BBQ in the parking lots. shut em down.

but for gods sake, organize it.

We're almost in the same conditions for an Arab (now OPEC) boycott since according to the UN, Israel is not playing nice and they plan to seize control of Gaza.

We need to get the message out to congress

ANWR and the SoCal coastal shelf have plenty of oil that's just waiting for us to extract. I know that the Birkenstock-maggot-infested-treehuggers will protest but Hell, a Large Car outweighs a Prius.

Fabian Núñez needs his ### tarred and feathered and carried out on a rail, just like his buddy [SIZE=-1]Antonio (La Raza) Villaraigosa.
Nothing but a bunch of Tax and Spend traitors (the majority of CA's government) if you ask me.
