whats your exp with these comps?

I know of Cowan as they are based in my neighborhood but don't really know how they are. They tout a 200 mile radius but I'm not too confident on that. I'm with Abilene Motors and we have a regional account which is mainly northeast. I like running OTR but do a lot of northeast.

 

Abilene is a good and fair company. It is all what you make of it. No one is ever going to agree 100% on any company. They work for me. Usually the NE regional makes more money than the OTR guys. Less miles but more stress and time. We have all the "doo-dads", e-logs and cameras. People fuss about all of that but insurance companies are starting to mandate it. Drivers that want to whine about I just say move on. It is all what you make it and it is still a free country for the time being that you can decide where you want to work.

 

Yes, they are dual facing cameras. After awhile you don't even pay attention to them. When I hit a good size bump I see the record light come on and wave at it. They are not transmit monitored, they have to have the memory downloaded back at the yard after an accident.
