NYC heading to Texas

It can be but depending on where you go....your coming up on a good time for new hires. New Fiscal year is two months in...new budgets are in and companies like to add on in January and February. I was in Victoria Texas until this October and that's how i seen it working. Last I know most of the good work was headed out towards midland and Odessa so hiring into Laredo will put you non frac crews headed that way. Baker Hughes and halliburton finished "mega yards" in San Antonio and they are getting most of the east/south Texas work.

Wow. Do you have a CDL? Cause I can almost guarantee a frac company will take at least 2 to 3 weeks before they hire you, with a CDL or without.

Check into Altom gold spur and atlas to haul crude. Badger does hydro-excavating.weatherford/baker hughes/ halliburton/ Murphy/ bhp/ SGS/ all are good if you don't mine slinging iron. I hauled for Schneider then worked on a baker Hughes crew that cemented well casing. Met an owner op and " struck gold" lol if you do sleep in the car a while it won't be long. 3 days of door to door and somebody will hire you.

Starting classes next week. 20 lessons then the road test. Should have my license come the new year.

Check the Scranton, PA craigslist. Some water hauler and vac truck jobs posted there, much closer to you than TX. You'd be based in Tunkhannock.
edit: scratch that, you'd need a CDL. -
Im going to look into PA. Im tired of cold weather that's why I mentioned Texas. And according to alot of threads here there is alot of work there.
