There is work in Texas but I would agree that you might want to stay a little closer to home to see how frac treats you and then think about the bounce to Texas. You may find the schedule to be undesirable. being on a site 2 weeks at a time might not be worth it to you

I have been seeing craigslist ads in Indiana for oil field drivers around Cambridge City, Ohio as well.

The weather can be cold in Texas this time of year two friends went there last year they slept in there Veh's
for a couple of days then one ended up sleeping in the truck he was driving he bought a good sleeping bag the other one was sleeping in a old trailer with another guy. The driving part the trucks weren't that great either
Probably no heaters, Midland/Odessa area there putting in a Walmart so maybe it will last for awhile. -
Texas gets just as cold.

What parts of PA are hotspots? I've been so into Texas I haven't researched up north
-
Check the Scranton Wilkes-Barre craigslist. If you want face-to-face with company reps, Tunkhannock PA seems to be the base that most are working out of. I drove from Scranton to Binghamton, NY last week, and there were four operating rigs visible from the interstate. I'm sure there's a lot of frac operations going on as well.

Frac is what im mostly interested in. Not so much driving

Washington, PA. Williamsport, PA. Towanda, PA. Basically if you draw a line from northeastern PA to Southwesten PA there is activity. Ohio is booming from, in between I76 and I70 over to I77. Northern panhandle of WV busy. I'm fracking in central WV now.
Fracking isn't for everyone. Schedule is long. Not much actual truck driving. Oilfield is just as goofy as trucking. Money is good, but sometimes just ain't worth it. Got to try it and make up your own mind. -
Lol @goofy. In what ways are you referring?
