View attachment 59053 I got an oil sample back today. The iron and minerals were very high I thought. It is a used truck at a dealer. I don't know what kind of oil or the interval change. It is a 09 cummins isx 435 hp with 369,000 on it. Thanks for any help.
The report wouldn't load correctly so I had to just type it out. I hope yall can make it out. Thanks again.

It won't open for me either. Iron and minerals will go way up on any motor that's sits not started for any length of time. That's not saying something isn't wrong, I'm just saying you will get incorrect sample results if it has been sitting on a lot some where not being started at least every other day. To get accurate sample results the engine needs to be run for a while at operating temp. then change the oil and filters, then run a while longer at operating temp. then sample the oil to get a more accurate reading. The longer you run it at temp both times the more accurate the results will be. The results won't be completely accurate until its operated under full load for a couple of weeks. Even with a dyno it is hard to duplicate "real world" circumstances.
