Melton put's them in all their trucks. If they didn't I would buy one. Love's had some for $99.00 last I checked.
-
I bought mine at Love's. . Paid $78 for it. . The only thing I don't care for, it only records what is happening in front of me.
I'm thinking about buying 2 more. . One for each of my side Windows to capture the wannabe suicide drivers next to me and in my mirrors.
Drivers=4 wheelers in this scenario. . Not us professional CDL holders. -
I was going to get one too but i don't have an assigned truck because im a local driver i had a four wheeler passing me on i78 in new jersey he caught me off i blow my horn and he brakes hard i was gonna get the hell out of him he ran i didn't get a license plate because i really didn't expect someone was going to such stupid thing.

Mine just paid for itself in keeping my safety bonus:
The cam is Diesel Boss's db4 (at the medium quality settings -- 20fps & 848x480 -- large sd card lasts about 34 hours on those settings)

So, we all need to be aware of our surroundings and be professional. I really did not think this driver would have done what he did also in a Tractor Trailer.
I drove OTR for 3 years and if this driver had slowed down a little instead of running up on the car in front of him, in about five seconds he would have had a clear left lane to make a lane change safely.
My driver side tires were on the edge of the grass and he physically moved half into my lane and stayed there trying to force me into the median.
I gave his company a call to let them know about it and in return for almost injurying or killing my family, I was made out to be the one at fault.
In return for his company's lack of concern, the FMCSA has the video's.

How does the night film? Can you see clearly? Does it use night vision?

Night video is OK -- good enough to get the job done. If you have a video editer that allows you to adjust brightness and contrast you can see quite well, but the default all-around setting is just ok.
