We now have 550K miles on the truck... We are out of warranty... The filter was last changed at 410K, so this one didn't last as long... IF that's what's wrong... We'll know more at 0900 when we call the shop... I would LOVE an EZ fix!

What are we looking at here? -
See the blue an white sticker that says "automatic tire chains"? Thats referring to that shiney silver thing hanging off below the leaf spring there. I'm interested in hearing how well those work too.
Lady K I hope they get you guys back up an running with an easy CHEAP fix!Lady K Thanks this. -
Waiting for the resolution to the latest crisis!!

:wtf: what exactly is that thing going to do, cuss at the ice `til it melts??

Thanks for the pictures... And yep they do deploy, but haven't hit any snow yet to try them out...
As for our current status... Rolling... But tentatively. We got towed by 4J's Towing & Recovery to Jack's Truck Repair (575) 461-4601 exit 333 off I-40 in NM. We will recommend them! They could have towed us all the way to Amarillo and added another $1000 to the bill, but instead they towed us to their shop and hooked us to their computer, forced a regen which is now allowing us to roll ourselves to Amarillo (or if things stay calm-to deliver this load in ATL then we will hit the dealer in Chattanooga, TN... Where we've gone before and have had good service.
This will put us out of our loop, so not sure how they will get us back in, but the problem still needs to be solved, we've only put a bandaid on it.thePUNISHER Thanks this. -
Good to hear you are rollin again. Hopefully there won't be any more hiccups and you can get back on track without any more unexpected costs.

The new dpf filter should have had a one year warranty. If it has failed you might be covered.
