Good to see you are still at it Team Klingon. I have to go back some pages to catch up.
Automatic tire chains:
I guess they are air operated ?
Does the piston push the chain slinger (for lack of better words) out into position when you push a button?
It looks as if the upper round part may have a rubber wheel at the top that rides on the tire also -true or not true ?
Or does the tire riding on top of the chains spin the unit?
How do you replace the chains and can you just buy a length of chain and make your own replacements ?
Are the automatic chains legal in places that make you chain heavily -or just for your own piece of mind.
Nice feature to have any way you look at it.
I will like to hear the out come of your running problems, The thread "Adventures of DFO" a Schneider choice lease driver had similar problems with his Doser or Dozer nozzle a few weeks into it and fixed it himself and also replaced some sensors. It could be a similar problem because a manual regen fixed yours enough to roll on.
If and when you have repairs made if you could find out some details i would be interested in them.
I have a mechanical background ( on cars) and since i now know DEF fluid is just pumped in to the exhaust system to raise temperature or to burn off soot --i highly suspect that the particulate filter in the exhaust gets clogged up mandating the regen to burn off soot --but i figure eventually the particulate filter cannot be cleaned further. I have an idea on how to fix this before it gets to the point of dropping some thousands on a particulate filter. Just talking out loud HHHMM.

There is a video on the On Spot web site that shows you how they work. As far as we can tell they will be accepted (even if not preferred) in all states... We will need to toss drag chains if required. We also are keeping our other chains on board as back up until we've used the new chains a couple times...
As as to the DPF stuff... It could be the 'doser' nozzle, or something in regards to fuel pressure... Like I mentioned above, I'm not the mechanical half of this teamAll I know is that they ordered a part, and they are 'pretty sure' this will fix it... I sure hope it is!
"Hang - Man" Thanks this. -

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
Yep we are out on the road for Christmas... But we knew we were going to be, so had the family thing 2 weeks ago. Right now we are waiting to get fitted in at the TA for them to replace a clearance light on this OLD <___> trailer. If it was a lower one, Klingon would do it, but he's just not tall enough for the top ones
Matilda is running well (except for an occasional hesitation on starting... We are thinking ignition??) and of course now that the have the fancy chains, we haven't had to use them!! Not that I'm complaining... LOL!
So that's how our week has gone, and what we are doing on Christmas...
MJ1657, Stroker73 and thePUNISHER Thank this. -
Merry Christmas Lady K an Klingon! Stay safe out there!

THE ATTACK OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Yeah.... This is the way our year ended... But hey, to start off the New Year, we got our 'free coffee refill' from a Flying J!!
Actually we we were pretty lucky, only plastic damage as far as we can tell... None to the radiator, but we will keep a close eye just in case. We've changed out the bumper before, so can do it again. Looks kinda funky though, we used red duct tape to hold the broken part together so the wind doesn't rip the corner off... Oh well... I will call it a 'fashion statement'!!
Drove through Kansas City at midnight, got to see some fireworks... All in last year was pretty decent... Looking forward to see what this year brings
