Schnieder or Werner. Help me choose please

Left click on the word forum above, Then left click on "Motor Carriers questions - the inside scoop" find Schneider and Werner and read a lot. Then try to distinguish which drivers are screw up's or company shills and which are telling the truth. Why are you trying to get into either with 2 years experience ?

 

Team drivers love Werner, Solos not a great place to work. I talked to a driver that tried Werner and he said you will end up in Chicago going from the terminal to deliver at a consignee and then going to a shipper to take a load to the terminal so that a team can take the load across the country. You will be doing a lot of 50 mile runs around Chicago. Go with Schneider if Solo, Werner if team.

 

I think Schneider offers more "options" (hauling type, fleets, locations, etc) in case your plan A doesn't work at for you and saves you from having to re-hire on elsewhere which is difficult in the first 12 months

 

Team drivers love Werner?????????????????????/You sure about that,they only pay 34 cpm split.You're friend must of not been otr.I was and will say this,you do not get miles and they like to keep the otr drivers out in the Northeast.They save the good runs for new ops,regional dedicated.You do awhole lot of swapping and splitting.Cant even count how many resets I took and didn't even need any of them.

 

If you're coming straight out of school: go somewhere else! lol Look into other places that pay better and that will take school graduates. Like "Hang - Man" said, do some searching. Everyone has their own perceptions of each company, good or bad. If you do your own research, and when you have that 1 question that you just can't find an answer to, go back through what you just read and read ALL the posts, not just skimming through them. Guaranteed ANY questions you have on SNI or Werner have been asked and answered at least once.

Where do you live?

 

New driver = Go to Roehl I know I have said this before, and I don't even drive for them anymore, (I'm at Interstate now), but you will make more and be home more at Roehl. They will train you in flatbed if that is something you are interested in, or you can just run dry van. Either way, they will treat you right. I only went to Interstate because I wanted to be home more and Roehl lost their customers in Denver.

 

I have to agree. If I wasn't pulling oversized, I would be pulling a tanker. Weiner wouldn't even be in the conversation.
