My suggestion may be useless and invalid as I live in Canada and it may work different here. Up here you can go to the courthouse and ask to speak to the crown prosecutor (our version of your d.a) and just show him what you have. He may just decide to drop it right there without wasting time and money even going into court. I have had a few tickets dropped like that, saves having to pay a judge and court staff to waste time dropping something.

may be worth looking into, if he says he won't drop/reduce it then look into a lawyer.

Hello Money Bags, When I would get in trouble out of town. What I usually would do is find an Attorney that practices in that court system that you have to appear in, He or she should be able to help you out. I really don't think you are going to completely get out of the ticket or fine but a local (Rip Off) I mean Attorney that works in that court system should at least get it reduced, which is better than nothing its still going to go on your DOT, and License.

thread inspired me to not hook up the dump valve on the spread axle flatbed i just bought

thread also made me wonder how i can tell for sure if the bag is inflated since i don't know what it looks like deflated and can't flip a switch to find out. someone? dumb question? i should probably solve this mystery before i start taking loads...

Your just nervous and in a panic from what I read. I been around trucks all my life, a CAT mechanic by trade. Drove every winter cause I love it. Two years ago when I took the plunge and bought my ol junker I had the @#$# was I thinking running through my head the next day. I won't lie we seen some poor days but have expanded too. It gets better, if it don't well they can't eat you or take away your birthday right?

There seems to be a massive misunderstanding in this entire thread about the dump valve control and which axle was out of air. It was the trailer, and was a trailer controlled switch (like the dump valve on a spread axle reefer that you have to be out of the cab, at the axle on the trailer, to activate.

Suspension dump systems for the tractor suspension is legal to operate from the cab.

Being able to dump only a single axle at a time on the tractor suspension is technically illegal. It comes down to being able to play with weights on the axles and how the scale is going to read it.

You sure about that? I've bumped a few reefer docks where they say it's chicken... a little batter and some wing sauce and who's gonna know?
