New to Prime INC - What to expect (Springfield edition)

Probably same for me. I put my 411 in on a Friday night and following Monday recruiter asked when I wanted to start. I waited 2 weeks as a courtesy to my employer at the time to give notice.

 

If you get an instructor who says to meet him at the pad (at the millenium building) at 8am, be on the first shuttle to the terminal and look for the instructor (most likely by truck #) at 7 am

 

good impression goes a long way in impressing instructors

 

How do they verify your your work history?

 

They call previous employers, send a letter if they can't get ahold of them on the phone. Otherwise if they went out of business (for example,) they'll ask you for W2's, tax returns, etc.

 

I'm getting ready to start orientation in SpringMO on January 7th. Can anybody tell me if there is decent freight through Springfield, IL? I-55/I-72 I live about 15 minutes south of Springfield, IL and was curious about home time.

 

You won't have a problem.
