Truck Owners ANGRY and Scared Over Fuel Costs

Parking the trucks is fine but a strike is a joke. We can't even get guys to stop hauling cheap and but people think a strike will work. No chance. The guys that haul cheap will just have chance to finally make some money and stop hauling for free. Fuel is only a problem because the cost is not being passed on the the shipper and the consumer. Think about it, each shipper paid for all the fuel and you only had to get paid for your labor. Would the fuel prices matter to you?

Yes, there are a lot of cut throats out there running for nothing. They should be gone soon with $4 fuel. They all deserve to go out of business. A lot of guys talk about shutting down and blocking roads, etc but talk is cheap let's do something! We have met with our Congressman and are planning a convoy to Indy next month. The Congressman may even ride with us. We need all of you to spread the word and join us! The time for talking is over, it's time to act!!!!

 

If anyone wants info on the convoy, pm me and I will help you. I can't post a website or our trucking site (sorry about that cyberlady!). I would like to hear from everyone. Thanks and be safe!

I thought you were getting over 2 bucks a mile, weren;t you?

 

The cost of fuel is not passed on your right there, but these guys hauling cheap freight to help make ends meet are not helping one bit either. I'll admit it we haul way to cheap on the way back, only because we get almost 3x the amount going out, but at least the cheapest we take coming back is no less than 1.15 coming back so it comes out to 1.60 w/surcharge. I guess it's not that cheap.
