What Clyde said! Also exit 185 off I-20 in Alabama, super buffet! Awesome Chinese buffet and truck parking. Was 6 bucks for the best Chinese food I've had in a while.

This #### truck/shop is pissing me off. 2 weeks ago, they put new batteries in the truck, because it kept dying and idling in battery mode all night long. so then right after that, it does the same thing, after shutting down for 30 mins, low battery alarm goes off, and either truck shuts everything off, or it idles if i have icon system in battery mode. so i take it back to the shop, they cant find anything wrong, mess around with the cables. and then the last half of last week it worked fine, ran the bunk heater, light for a couple hours, low battery alarm never came on. heck, even after it sat all day saturday and sunday, when i got in it monday morning, the low battery alarm wasnt even on then. so then tonight, i park, 15 mins later, low battery alarm. somethings not making any sense. its cold here, 5 degrees, but still, youd think that brand new batteries would hold up longer then 15 mins, even if its cold. so now im idling all night long again. they really need to fix this. how am i supposed to have an inverter/fridge if the batteries dont last. nerve racking

Sounds like a problem I had with an old dodge pickup truck I had. Running the engine actually caused the battery to discharge. I discovered a blown fusible link in the engine compartment, fixed that and everything was ok again. If your truck has a similar problem then the shop messing a around with the cables may have inadvertently closed the short temporarily and the vibrations of driving has opened it up again. Funny thing is, the alternator and voltage regulator always tested ok, but most of the juice that should have been going back to the battery was for lack of a better term, leaking out the shorted wire. That's my two cents worth. Good luck with it.

Yeah, they tested both alt and batteries for volts, they turned out of. I asked them to throw an amp meter on different places, to see where the draw/short was coming from, they acted like that was a new thing to them. Im just a dumb driver, IDK what im talking about. lol. Ill be talking to the shop manager when i go there again. Ive been there 4 times for the same problem.

I drive for CRS, O/O ,OTR. I've been a member here for 2 years. Def not a "Wannabe" (need to fix that I guess). As for my qualifications, I am either totally wrong or the terminal manager that confirmed every thing I posted is a liar. He confirmed these changes to my best friend face to face. Hey, upgrade me TTR !!...lol...

Question for current drivers... Has anyone gotten their 2014 IFTA stuff yet? Company or O/O?

NO! I need a new base plate by 01JAN and my load to the terminal was pulled.

In other news, we need to leave ororoh. This place is a nightmare.

Ororoh is our drop yard in Columbus, OH. It's always full, contains the possibility of getting into situations that are very difficult to get out of, and as an added bonus it's a dirt lot when is dry, mud when it's wet, and solid ice when it's cold. It's also not level, which makes it really fun when it's frozen and you're trying to back a trailer up a frozen hill into a parking spot.
