My year ended prematurely in September, but through that time I managed right at $180,000. Fuel came in right around $6600 a month during that time. 2 earlier repairs during the year put me down $12000 and now the last one along with a trailer repair has me down another 20! All in all I can't complain to much since I've been home the last quarter. The missus loves it, (don't tell her I hate it!) so all is well that ends well. Hopefully the new year starts off right and continues on that same path.
Merry Christmas every one and to all of you on the road safe driving and stay away from the mystery meat at the buffets! -
y'all get PAID to drive???? heck i did it wrong all those years....
Mr Ed, Lonesome, dennisroc and 1 other person Thank this. -
Seriously - companies? years on the job? lease/owner/company? . . . I'm starting in January and these salaries are inspiring me! I will start at .42 per mile. I figured maximum - if I actually could drive 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, I'd gross at 72,000, but that is unrealistic. There will be weather and traffic, etc. I will be pleased with 60K - a lot more than my old job.

Music maker the first thing you will learn about truck drivers is they like to add a few thousand here and there. They are not very good with numbers, and don't ask them for pictures because their dog just ate it.
On my stub it says 70,076.74 but that's because my company adds the lumper expense and reimbursements like scales etc.to that about 8,000. So that's I'll say 62,000 then you take tax out that was 10,774.97 - the 2,000 in pre tax health care cost. - about 1200 dollar in after cost for benefits like life insurance etc. So I took home about 47 but with 9,000 and some change in child support. I only took home 37,728.76 and I run all 48 states only home a few days during the month unless I pass through for the 10 hr break. I also make .40cpm.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I also would like to know whose paying rookies .42cpm pulling reefer.
Joetro Thanks this.
