Truck Driving School Paid By Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Funding

Well why don't you write these high turn over companies and tell them to treat them drivers with respect and do what they say that their company does, then ask them why they have a high turn over. Dont voice your opinion if you have not drove for any trucking copany because you do not know what truckers have to put up with while they are on the road for weeks at a time just so people like you can go to the store and get what you need just because truckers go to work for you just saying!!! Read the whole thread and.....? WHAT..that's it, did you give up on it because of a few knuckle heads.

 

Thought maybe you gave up, because of all the negativity, will you finish telling us your journey,your last post on it was back on June 25, witch i quoted above and got your back on,to be honest they (KNUCKLE HEADS) were getting on my nerve to, if not for the length of time i would have jumped in to say what you did, to get it back on your point. I ask because looking to go same route as you were going with the W.I.A. grant.

 

Almost 3400 views,tells you something,don"t you think mdkarle, there are a lot of us in the same boat.if you don"t continue this thread might be lettin a lot of people down, just sayin, i am on list from what i understand and will post my experience when time comes. Just waiting to say wia works !!! I used the funding in November to get my cdl from route 93 professional truck driver school in Hamilton mt. Nov 26 passed state test...one month later and I have been driving in the bakken oil fields for 3 weeks.

 

That "s good to hear, good for you brother. And i"m glad someone finaly responded to this thread. Did you read the whole thing? Kinda looks like mdkarle gave up on it, or he is putting in a lot of hours, witch is a good thing.The bakken oil fields where are they, is that the one i heard about last year on one of those like 60 min. shows, about fraking in north or south Dakota? If so how is it? I heard there"s alot of work there.

 

Its in the western North Dakota and man there are jobs everywhere $20 an hr and up if you have hazmat it could be 30+ an hr hauling crude I would recommend coming up here to anyone looking for work

 

Did you get the grant thru the Dept. of Labor, if so how long did it take? From what i been told you go on a list. Who contacted you to let you know you got it and would start,the D.O.L., or the school? Had all these questions but when i came across thread it was dead for 6 months.

 

Man for me it was only 2 weeks from hearing aboutthis wia program to when I was in school I did this in Montana through the Montana job service and they paid for everything food gas and lodging plus the school so that's where I would start , your local job service
