Strike

April 15th just isn't soon enough. It need's to be within the next two week's if anything because now is the time to take a stand now! To hell with waiting. if you are in a truck stop, stand at the door's and everyone gather round and inform those who don't know about it. To hell with this, if I see another statement like this, I am going to go down to the Petro here in Shreveport and raise all 9 KIND's of hell about it and I don't care if I make a fool of myself because this need's to be done. It's time as truck driver's new, vet's. company and O/O SHUT DOWN! Either take a stand now or forever have to live with what is being done to us. I'm not driving a truck but I consider myself that I do because I support everything behind a strike in what trucker's believe and are getting screwed over on. I'd say no later than March 30th at the lastest. The sooner the better. Everyone in favor say "I"!!! because you can see I have my vote in on it.

 

I am hearing April 2 hear in Florida , a buddy called from Jessup MD ,said the same thing . They said that would give us enoguh time to get the word out .

As much I hate to see the trucks stop..We all need to send a message to the Oil Company's that are taking advantage of everyone

 

Ok i have heard this for at least the last 10 years we need to strike we need to do this we need to do that and its always the same. If you can organize the truckers together and get them to all agree on the same color of the sky you would be doing a great thing you can't though. That is the reason the industry is in the shape its in every one is to bust fighting and back stabbing each other for there little piece of the pie. Now if you will all come to one agreement and get some one a lawyer or a representative to go to Washington and represent you on the industry behalf of the drivers not the company's and set down a truckers bill of rights and not leave till it is passed in Washington as a law that we have rights as citizens instead of no rights as workers you could get a lot further with your complaints and wishes. It wouldn't have to be an organization representing you but you can hire a lobbiest to represent your side of the story and get your voice heard just like the special interest groups do. It would cost every driver a few bucks a month but it would be worth it and it wouldn't be a union just a group of people that hired there own moth piece. Lets face it folks until the driver stands up and gets representation in Washington DC you will never be anything but a bunch of mouthy routy trouble makers to them. Just my 2 cents worth since i haven't been there in 4 years i am sure things have got worse but until you have some one in the capitol representing you it will never work. And i am sorry i am a member of OIDA and they are not there for the driver they are there just like the ATA and the rest for the big money where and who ever pays the most its who they are going to represent.

 

its spreading across the northern part of the country like wild fire... park your truck march 24th. get on your CB and listen, everyone has the same date up here, fuel is 4.25 a gallon and it cant go much higher... so that glorious monday... see you on the side of the road
