beginning trucking school

That is quite a bit more then I was hoping. I have been looking at Charlotte Truck Driver Training School. They are about 3300. I actually live about an hour east of Charlotte but already drive there every day for work. I'm also looking into some of the employers who offer cdl training.

2800 for 160 hours at sec in jackson ms. Just need a place to stay.

 

Roadmaster in Indianapolis charges 4k if you pay yourself 6k if you get their "financing" (A loan, which is bunk if you have poor credit. They ask for a co-signer!)

 

Community colleges are the cheapest.
Goodwill Industries is free if they have funding available.

 

I talked with these folks and came away with a not-so-good gut feeling. Once I started asking the tough questions and asking them "why should I choose SEC", things got a little quiet on the other end of the line! They were supposed to send me some information on the school and, guess what? It never showed up! They may be the best school in Mississippi, but not in my book. My $.02.

 

I haven't been there but just know about it. Had a friend inquire to them. 1500 one week refresher or 2800 4 week.
