Is the International Prostar as big of a lemon as it seems to be? I know they had to eat some crow and put Cummins back in the trucks, but did that really fix the reliability issues the truck seems to have?

I can only speak for mine....but she pulls better than my KW 660 and have over 120+ trouble free miles. ( A few minor things). Wish it was a litter more "homey".

We loved our ProStar but our company is getting rid of them due to too many problems. International sold a lot of them since it didn't require DEF.
The biggest thing we miss about is the cup holders. 3 in the front. One of them held big cups. We used another to put pens, flashlightss, etc. The bottom sleeper has a cup holder too.
We drive a 2014 Cascadia now. It's got two small cup holders. The plus to it is the big cabinets. -
Cup holders, really, lol!
Skydivedavec and FLATBED Thank this. -
Hopefully they can get the bugs worked out of the Prostar, they are good looking tractors and I know that a lot of fleets run them so I will probably end up in one.

SOOO, yeah Cascadi > Prostar.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
I had one for 6 months, and out of that time it was in the shop a total of 6 weeks for various problems.
I loved the seats, the bunk space, the cup holders and 12V sockets... everything about it. The one thing I could not get used to was all the down time for mechanical and electrical issues.TruckDuo and Skydivedavec Thank this. -

The Maxx Farce IS the issue. I drove more miles with the check engine light on than without... It first came on at about 4,000 miles on a 2011. Boss dumped it at 300,000, and went to war with the dealer on it. Being not abused in any way, the interior simply was falling apart from normal use... Not to mention that the dash and seats were pulled out of it(yes you need to pull the dash out to work on the Maxx Farce.. I mean Force) 18 times... Yes, 18 times in 300,000 miles. Did I mention the dash was torn out 18 times? All warranty work. No, I'm NOT kidding 18 times... I had a small bag of left over parts from it.
