Prepass has sent me a notice if I dont get my URC they are going to shut off my account, I'm leased on to company and have no authority my self but do have my own base plate and do my own ifta reporting but no dot or mc numbers. Do I need the URC thought the carrier did this?? Or do I need it to. It just me and one truck.
URC Question ?????????????????

If you have your own PrePass Transponder no authority of your own it needs to be registered to the DOT/MC # of the company your leased to. You need a copy of your permanent cab card showing plate # and the company you are leased to's DOT/MC #. If you switch companies do not use the PrePass till you get the transponder re-registered to new companies DOT/MC #. If you Bypass the scale on a green light with old companies DOT# you could face up to a $1,000 fine.cabwrecker Thanks this.

They have all that information and more. Just got my 2nd notice will call Monday just wanted to make sure that I did not need URC

Whose name is the prepass account under? If your company has paid the ucr fees, prepass should have been updated automatically.

it in my name but i'm leased onto a carrier prepass has a copy of lease and the carriers authority

I am not sure what you mean about URC. Do you mean UCR? If so, it must be paid by the carrier or one under whose authority is being used. You may need to get a copy of the UCR that shows it is paid and send it to Prepass. A letter from your carrier may also be acceptable.

yes I meant UCR got the letters crossed that what I thought. Did not think I needed to file for it.
