Just look at it like I do driver. I can take off, roll, and put away 3 steel tarps in about 15 minuets. I can have the entire load unsecured and ready to take off the truck in about 30-45 minuets depending on what it is. so if I get it all done in 30 min I figure I just got paid $24 an hour for the unload.

What does roehl usually haul on flatbed?
how have the trailers been? Heard they got some newer ones.
were your pickups and deliveries pretty quick?

All kinds of stuff. Coils, farm and ag equipment, pipe, hay, plate steel, lumber... Most trailers are fairly new.

Here's a harder one, is it possible to be o/o flatbed trainer in the honor program?

Good for you. I'd like to see you demonstrate how you fold, roll, and put away a steel tarp during winter and/or in the wind in 5 minutes.

    bucksandducks Thanks this.

Yeah, I've had to do some that way too. By the way, I was sincere in my query earlier, sjtrucker -- if you have some tips you could share on how to get a tarp folded/rolled/stowed that quickly, I'm all ears. It usually takes me at least twice that long, especially if it's the kind with the end flap.

I'd like to see him roll up three tarps in below zero temps in 15 min. The best way I found to do it is to make as few folds as possible. Instead of doubling it up before rolling I just left it and rolled it up the entire length. Actually instead of "rolling" I made about a foot long fold and just kept folding it up. It ends up more square-ish that way and square things fit in square boxes better than big round things do.
