the score is not a big deal, cause the d.o.t. is out to find something no matter what the safety record is. when I mentioned I had driven over 1.5 million miles & over 15 years with not one violation ever, other than a marker light out & that was in daylight & both times I replaced on the spot,(but still got written up) did not make a difference. d.o.t had not a single comment on my record. it will get worse. was just thinking you know the amber side marker lights on a trailer? some have 1 bulbs, you can also get the ones with 2 bulbs. I ALWAYS got the ones with 2 so if one went out I would still be in compliance, plus it would let me know the other bulb may be going out soon too. I'll bet some time in the future the d.o.t. will look close at the bulbs & write you up cause there is 2 bulbs & one is out so they'll try & use that as a violation in the future. that IS exactly what is has come down to.

it's less likely that you'll get inspected any time soon though. but it depends on the company.
i saw a swift truck during the june blitz. that CLAIMS he got inspected 6 times. and he had a brand new sticker.
