Seems odd that a person would be fired yet continue to work for a company for about 2 weeks after the announcement that he was leaving.

Gota love the internet rumors. Kind of like when an ex driver came on a year ago and said JBS was shutting down.
Those new KW's are looking good. I probably could of got one if I asked, but not all that interested in driving an automatic. Been in my pete for over 3 1/2 years. 460,000 miles put on this puppy all by yours truly look forward to hitting the 500,000 mark before they take it away from me. Also want to hear how the other drivers like the new trucks. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I can't stand the thought of seeing somebody else in my truck. So I'm in it until they have to trade it in.
Well better get ready to hit the road and head to Souderton from Grand Island. Then they have me picking up in Allentown going to Tomah WI by Wednesday. Thinking about not turning in the Tomah Trip till after Wednesday. I'll have 2800 miles by the time I get to Souderton. Uncle Sam likes to take a big bite out of those 3500 mile type checks. I did have a slow week coming off hometime so this would make up for it. Guess I'll see how things work out. Anyway Kid Dinomite is back quiet. -
Haven't heard any feedback from actual drivers of the 680's. I do know NY Louie complained long and loud about them based on looking one over and said he turned the one they offered him down.
-
Is NY Louie the guy with the tattoo's on his leg. If so he was there Thursday complaining about something. I don't know many people by name. I couldn't even pick out the safety director who just left out of a line up.
Grand Island load was suppose to pick up at 1800 Friday. I picked it up at 2am Friday and Dropped it in Souderton at 22:50am mt Sat. Then headed over to Allentown to start my 34. Got there at 11:59 mountain time. They changed my Tomah, Wisconsin load. To a 4 drop load. 3 stops in Michigan and 1 in Illinois that finals out Wednesday. Load was suppose to be ready at 630 this morning, but I'm still in the door. Its 9:39 est. No hurry though. Still have a few hours b4 I can finish reset. Still have 17hrs available on the 70 but since I have the time. Might as well knock out a restart.
Saturday was the first time I seen one of the new trucks on the road. So I'm sure feedback will be coming in shortly. I looked inside one at the yard through the window. They looked pretty nice. I also like the type of stick they have for the automatic. I have driven a few and I don't like the push button one. So I think I will have a problem with the set up in the new trucks. Well time to get off here. You guys be safe. Until next time. D is back quiet. -
Couldn't tell ya if he has tattoos or not. Never paid attention. Older, thin face, bald, and a hellacious New York accent is about all I can say.
I got there about 1430 Thursday and trying to remember who all was there... -
Well they took me out of my Pete with 475,000 on the odometer, and put me in a 680 with 35 miles on the odometer. Still a little nervous about this automatic. I went to put fuel in at the yard and kept trying to switch gears. Also kept trying to press a clutch that wasn't there. They gave me a load to Seattle so guess no better place to test out this automatic then Cabbage Hill. Be cool on your stool we are back quiet.

Well knocked out the first leg of the Seattle run. Deliver in Boise Idaho in the morning and then head to Seattle with 5 pallets. Taking some time to get use to the automatic, but I find it alot easier to just put it in manual and do all the shifting my self. Computer takes to long to shift and likes to start you out in 2nd gear. It also likes to shift gears from 10 to 9 on little mole hills so in those situations you just put it in manual and it will get you up the hill. I really can't tell how much power it has. I know my Pete would run circles around it, but I did find myself passing other trucks on some hills. Its a pretty smooth and quiet ride. You can barely hear the jake break which I don't like and its not as strong as the one on the Pete I had. The shifts even on the automatic pilot are pretty smooth as well so don't think I'll have a problem on icy roads even though. I'm sure I'll be in manual mode. Only hit 5.8 on fuel mileage, but had lots of strong wind in Wyoming. Should do better when I get first stop off. Other then that. Time to hit the sack. Beakkkkk quiet.

I am so glad we have now left JBS Carriers. Couldn't be happier at our new company. My husband was with Jbs for 2 1/2 years and I can't say lots of rumors are false but some are true. Wishing everyone left the best of luck but we are on to big and better things....Hello Walmart!
thecleaninglady and Dinomite Thank this.
