In Pennsylvania, under 21, u can only in the state u got cdl. U have to be older than 21 to go out of state.
-
Correct. For your question about companies hiring under 21 years of age, I have not found any. Most are 21 years old, some are 22, and a few are 23 I've seen. I don't see why age matters. I can understand experience, but not age. I'm not sure if other states (other than NY and PA) allow people under the age of 21 to cross state lines. I have a feeling that is a big, and fat no.

Will local farms or livestock hauling hire under 21?
-
That is a good question. I am uncertain. It probably depends on the owner/farmer. They may be more apt to do so if they know you, or your family, personally. Again, I am uncertain, but that is my best bet.russtrucker Thanks this.

I farm and most of the time none of us hire anyone that we don't know.
HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this. -
I know some folks that farm in central Pennsylvania.

TwinStickPeterbilt....you mentioned that you did some oil hauling....what kind of work is that like??
-
Speaking of oil hauling, my dad hauls frac sand that are used for frac natural gas wells.

How does he like it? Does he say much about it and the work that it entails? Thanks, russtrucker!
