I would never consider working for them for all the times they let me sit 4 hours at there docks to get unloaded.I tried to avoid them completely but anyone knows that is a futile effort as they so frequently disguise there identity.

The minimums quoted by HR are 3 years driving experience, 50K miles minimum in each of those 3 years and 250,000 miles minimum total. Personally I have not met any Walmart driver with less than 8 years experience before being hired, There may be some but I've never heard of one. As for the MVR, it must be pretty good but I'm sure they would accept one minor ticket. The standards are high but not impossible, gotta keep the Riff Raff out! :)

Not in Alaska. Hermiston Oregon runs teams to AK and back. All volunteer, 2 trips on, 1 trip off last I heard. All info subject to change :)

Does your company know what a drop and hook is? Maybe they need to invest in more equipment. You may want to point the finger at the carrier you work for if they are not paying you adequate detention time.

As grabberblue12 stated, yes, working for the Private Fleet is a whole lot better than delivering here to Walmart. I have yet to see an occasion here where if I were delayed they paid me less than every single minute of delay.... among a whole lot of other pay.

It goes deeper than that,Wallyworld was the first company that I personally ever went to where I had to pay them to unload they own ##### off my truck.I understand they the big boyz and make the rules but why was I ever put into that equation too begin with? I mean really, I didn't have to collect the payment for the product.
This whole lumper fee scam is nothing more than a driver shakedown. I mean,How many drivers lose lumper receipts each week?

Bet they only ever lose one receipt!

But yes whoever came up with the lumper scam needs a swift kick in the crotch.

Well at least Walmart lumper fees are always $50 whether it is 1 pallet or 20. I've paid up to $350 at other places.
