I am fairly certain that the flat panel TVs use substantially less power than the old CRTs, so you should be fine with a decent quality 750. If you check on the back of the lcd and the xbox, it should tell you current draw information.
As pcfreak said, plan on wiring it directly though, don't try to use a cig plug or anything like that, use appropriat guage wiring, and make sure you put a fuse on it.
Good luck, look forward to hearing how it works for you.

Thanks Kreep
I use my Chevy Blazer's battery(direct connect) as a power source. It did not turn on? It has the suggested voltage? -
A 23" LG LCD TV consumes 120 watts of juice. That is a fairly light load. A 400 watt inverter could handle it and have an addition 280 watts to spare.
I use a 400 watt inverter plugged into the 12v receptacle built into the TV cabinet, and, I feel confident it will power up a LCD (when I upgrade) and my PS2. -
Cen03, there are quite a few variables that could cause it to not work when wired to your car's battery. The voltage 'should' be fine, but would have to check that to be sure as well. If you could describe your inverter model, and how you wired it up, I will try to help (or I am sure someone around here who is more knowledgeable will offer tips)
