Rolled my truck

####.. sorry to hear that, glad you are okay... I use to do the same thing.. move over to save a mirror.. my current trainer just told me not to do that.. for the very sistuation you had.. Not sure what company you are with.. but, unfortunately a Roll Over is serious and often leads to termination.. I hope for you that it does not... and I wish you all the best..

If you are terminated.. be grateful that you were not hurt or killed.. just a couple of weeks ago a couple died when their tractor trailer rolled over into a shallow ditch and it burst into flames killing them both... So, the important thing is that you or anyone else was not hurt or killed...

 

When the conditions are bad you park it. Nothing in those trailers are worth your life or anyone else's. A customer would rather have his product late than scattered all over the highway.

 

Relax man, every driver screwes up very early in their career. My third load out I took my rig down a residential road in Evergreen Alabama, when the state trooper got out there, my behind being jackknifed (no damage) around a curve with me sitting up on my dolly legs- he just laughed for about five minuets, didn't give me a ticket. I wrote his LT a letter, got a nice response back mentioning that the officer in question has always shown good discretion, and I moved on with my life.

The truth is, this is the best learning tool you have. This will mold you into a better driver. It will make you question every action you think about doing; and that's the best thing you can do.

A couple things you need to be thankful for;

No one died, including yourself.
You didn't get a citation.
You didn't hit another vehicle.

It's almost a miracle, that the state trooper in question decided not to cite you.

You'll be fine.
