Hey guys in new to the forum. I've been an close follower of TTR and i haven't needed to ask a question until now. I have a 1999 FLD120, I bought the truck a few months ago and the previous owner had the rears re-maned and had them aligned as well. I don't know whats going on with them now, I have 1 Bag on the front passenger side drive axle and it keeps walking about 1 3/4 inches outward. I've torqued the u bolts down as hard as i could with a pipe and the wrench with the wheel off. I see one purchase (the one that rides above the axle) has moved, it looks like someone else "tried" to weld it in its place before. Should it even be welded? all others on the truck are but on my other trucks they aren't. Heck, i don't even think these are the original rears. My question is have any of you had this problem? Tomorrow Im going to re weld the purchase back on the rear end and put the control arm back where it is straight with the bag not ####ed. Suspension is AirLiner like this http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo123/spnitecop/The U-RV Build pics/4-18-12079.jpg All the Bushings are new and in properly
My Control arms keep moving making the bag crooked

There could be a few things going on. First, new ubolts should be used, and should be torqued to about 350 ftlbs. There is also center pins on the spring that may be broken or sheered allowing the spring to move. If the spring and/or saddles are worn so they do not sit flush with each other the clamp force will never be enough and the parts will move around. Chances are you have something worn and/or broken. You will need to unbolt that spring from the axle housing to see what is going on.

Well are the saddles suppose to be welded to the axle tube itself? they look flush the weld that held the saddle is broken, but it also looks like terrible penetration on the weld itself.

I'm not 100% sure if they are all welded. I don't think so, not on those. If the welds look sloppy, they aren't factory.

I torqued them 350, then welded it back. they were @ about 125 per nut so i installed new ubolts and nuts.

The saddles are generally located with centering pins rather than welded, the pin is most likely sheared off or the hole corroded/worn out of spec if the airbag isn't sitting straight.
