So how are all of you this evening? And where are you? I hope everyone is staying warm and safe. Missouri was pounded by this storm. We have about eight inches of snow with a layer of ice underneath of that and sub zero temps right now. I have seen reports of a foot of snow in Sullivan and closer to St. Louis.
This was a Modot plow truck today.
The King has fallen asleep on the sofa......snoring...the dogs are curled up in their blankets.....snoring.... and my bloodthirsty daughters are playing a game on XBox live and killing people.

I pass by that same snow plow on I-44 Heading to Ok City around 3pm yesterday. There was also what looked to be a 3 truck accident on the east bound lane. Be careful... Be safe.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
It is a mess here. That accident yesterday on the east bound side happened about 11am and was 7 big trucks and multiple vehicles, it took them hours to get it all cleared up, there was another involving 3 trucks on the westbound side after that and this morning there is another in the same area. I have started to take note of some of these accidents in that area .....from what I have tracked there is a section of I44 from about mile marker 92 til mm156. Anytime there is the slightest winter precip there are many problems in that area.

In this company the lease stinks but in a few the lease is better but there has to be extra pay for things like detention, layover and if you have to get the trailer fixed. I made way better money in another company leasing than I do here but I got $275 for laying over for 24 hrs and $35 an hour for detention plus it was $50 for your first stop and $75 every stop after til the final stop. This is one of the worst leases a driver can sign and that is the biggest reason why new drivers fail so much at it. I would have never gone negative if I didn't go to the doctors and that took 4 days but it has been very stressful to keep positive. I am going company when I leave here which is soon. There is only 1 company I might consider leasing but they pay all the extras so it would be worth it. This is the least I have made out of 3 companies and 3 different leasesoliver2 and HometimeQueen Thank this.

George has been stuck in Minneapolis since last night...he was afraid to go to sleep he was so cold.
With the high ceiling in the truck it is hard to heat.
Now his truck cuts off, and they told him not to move, or hurt the engine.
A Kenworth Dealer there can't look at it until Friday.
He is so mad....no one will answer his messages.
All is better (somewhat), Road Assist will come tonight and fix it, but George has to pay for the service call.
