Yeah, he hasn't been that fortunate yet...but it's coming! I took all but two of the tests here at the DMV in the past, for my permit. I let too much time lapse, then they changed the system so I have to start all over again. I've been studying the current manual, of course that's the easy part. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on pre-trip and backing, as well as trucker life videos. I drive about 50,000 miles a year, and I have a clean 10 year background, but I've never driven combos, other than some moving around in bays for maintenance while in the military years ago. I was stationed in North Dakota, so I know winter driving, just not in a rig. As I said, I'll get there, hopefully sooner than later.
